    The first edition of the Amsterdam Burlesque Festival was fantastic! Each night brought a different array of wonderful performances, designed to amuse, titillate, and astound. From the talented Vaudevillian master of ceremonies, to the magicians, trapeze artists, freaks, and even the jester like stagehand every one brought a strange and unusual flair to the eventing. All that, and that and I haven't even mentioned the dancing! Nov 23

    A übercool destination store in the heart of Amsterdam. It's unique location (formerly 90 square meters) has expanded and now goes beyond the old confines of an old bank vault. It's amashup of global brands like Nike & Levi, high end fashion and design, and other random things that the owner likes. It is one of three stores in Europe that carries the ARC'TERYX VEILANCE line and also was the first place where customers could make their own custom Nike sneaks. Nov 10

    These bags represent a great combination of good design gone green. Made of recycled parts from cargo truck tarps, seat belts, tires and more, they are both very durable and environmentally conscious. Plus the two brothers founding the company know how to host a party. I enjoyed their 2009 launch party in Amsterdam two weeks ago.
