I have a very special affinity for this brew as we've both been around since 1975. The masterbrewers at Anchor brew truly distinctive beers that are a unique part of the flavor of San Francisco. Bring a magnum of this seasonal brew to your next holiday party and you will be the toast of the town! Nov 10

One of my all time favorite beers! I always manage to find the time to visit St. James Gate when I'm in Dublin and I always have a great time. Nov 5

If you don't love it for the name alone, you should love it as these enterprising Scots made the world's strongest beer! Feb 5

It's what I keep my BeerTender stocked with at the moment. In fact, I've got quite a few of the 4 liter minikegs at home just waiting to be enjoyed. Dec 16

Named Cinq Cent to celebrate 500(!) years of brewing tradition this bottle fermented beer improved with age, like a fine wine. I had a bottle laid down for 5 years that I was intending to drink on the eve of the millenium. Except my stoner roommate had a "friend" over who decided to help himself to my bottle collection and drank it. To this day, I have yet to forgive him. Never come between a man and the beer he has waited years to savor. Nov 28

Sure it is named after the hallucinations that you might undergo after during severe alcohol withdrawal, but if you keep drinking this fine Belgian brew, you never will face that fate yourself. Nov 7 - liked from citizenrobot's entry

One of the 7 official Trappist breweries in the world, this abbey hosts a total of 25 monks. Of these, only 5 make the traditional brews this abbey produces. They live a life of seclusion and spend only 75 day of the year devoted to the brewing ... Nov 5

I love spicy foods, so why wouldn't I love spicy beers too? Rogue is one of the few breweries that makes me long for the suds from the States. It really takes something special to make a guy living in beer heaven yearn for. This is truly a unique taste experience. Try it paired with poultry or white meat for a dining combination that is out of this world. Nov 5

Another favorite for my BeerTender, Wieckse Witte is a traditional white beer brewed here in the Netherlands. It's light, crisp, and very refreshing. Served with a slice of lemon, it is the unofficial beverage of the terraces during the Dutch summer. Nov 5

Samuel Adams touts itself to be America's Best Beer - and while I am not prone to exaggeration, they do come darn near close. They make loads of exceptional beers, but if I had to choose one that perfect suits a time & place it is the Cheery Wheat beer for summer. Delicious! Nov 5

Still, to this day some years later, this is one of my favorite gifts from guests who have stayed with me. It keeps 4 liter kegs of your favorite beer fresh for a month without any additional CO2. Not that I have ever had a keg las that long. ; ) Genius! Nov 4
