Built on a lot that had been bombed in 1945, the "Dancing House" as visually it appears as if two people are perpetually dancing. I've always wanted to dine at the restaurant at the top of the glass towers as it has a spectacular view of the Prague and the nearby castle. Mar 6

This has been one of my favorite buildings in New York City and despite not being as tall as the Enmpire State Building, I find it far more iconic. The art deco facade is truly timeless. Nov 4

crabbie - Beauty of Stainless steel. I've been to the Skybridge, and the feeling was superb. The towers from outside looked so awesome that at one point I thought I was looking at a Computer generated image.
annah - Absolutely brilliant looking building... I am always in awe of what mankind can do when I see some of this stuff

Anthony Bourdain is a man after my own heart. I admire his enthusiasm for getting into the local spirit of the places he visits and I'm amazed that he eats & drinks some of the things he does and manages to hold it all down... at least on camera. Dec 7 - liked from macro1970's entry

The Pantheon is an astounding structure with a very distinctive atmosphere on the interior. Illuminated from the sunlight directly overhead, it sends a shaft of light into the center of the rotunda. It's reamarkably well preserved and right in the heart of the action in today's Rome. Nov 5

Definitely in the running for London's most famous landmark, it is every bit as distinctive as Big Ben or the Tower Bridge, but a more fitting symbol of today's London. Nov 16

This is one of the buildings that first fascinated my with architecture. Frank Lloyd Wright has such an innovate view of integrating his homes and buildings into the environment where they were built. I consider one of the finest examples of that, after all the house spans an actual water fall! Nov 5

One of the 7 official Trappist breweries in the world, this abbey hosts a total of 25 monks. Of these, only 5 make the traditional brews this abbey produces. They live a life of seclusion and spend only 75 day of the year devoted to the brewing ... Nov 5

When I was just a teenager I started working at an airline for the sole purpose of getting flight benefits. My very first trip was to New York for my birthday and I wanted to see the Guggenheim Museum as it was extremely inspirational to me. Frank Lloyd Wright is truly amazing. Nov 4
