Carol J. Adams eco-feminist arguments about the relationship between the commodification of animals and the commodification of women may sound far-fetched at first blush, but her case is compelling and the read is provocative. Apr 10

Alice Sebold's memoir of her rape and its aftermath is a remarkable story and a first-rate read. Apr 10
