Dan Egnor (egnor) - "Python programming isn't quite the godlike experience you might expect from reading xkcd comics or listening to its fanatics' praises. It's quick to learn but like any langauge it takes a while to fully wrap your head around how to use it effectively. But it is thoroughly *reasonable* and *decent* for the niche it occupies, so you don't have to think too hard about the choice to use it and invest in learning it. If you learn one scripting language (and you should learn at least one!) then learn this one."
