Christmas is so much more than Santa and gifts. There is something truly magical about the season. People seem to be a bit more friendly and giving. Donations are always up this time of year. We take time out for friends and family.We have never spent a lot of money on Christmas gifts, but instead tried to find ways to make the season fun and a bit magical. When I was young my Dad would share a bit of Christmas magic with us. I can only recall one toy that I received as a christmas gift, it is one that I really wanted, but I can remember many little things my parents did to make christmas fun.A favorite magical moment was on Christmas Eve, we would pile in the car and go look at christmas lights. We would have such fun looking at the lights and singing, somehow Dad always spotted Rudolph's nose in the sky and of course we would see it too. We would return home and to our amazement Santa had been there. We knew it had to be Santa as Mom and Dad were with us.I enjoy thinking about all of the little things my parents would do, it always warms my heart and makes me smile. It is so much fun to share Christmas magic with others, I love to see the sparkle it leaves in their eyes. I hope that it also leaves them with a memory that can make them smile. It is even better when they do not know who created the magic.
