Your likes will be far more interesting if they are about items that few people know about. Liking something common-place like twitter or iPhone is not terribly interesting to your readers. Adding topics, comments and pictures vastly improves both the quality and interestingness of your like. We strongly recommend that you add quality likes that will be fun for your friends to read and discover. For the competition, we will only be considering likes to specific items. For example - likes to specific restaurants, hotels, wines etc.

Out help section is currently a work in progress. MyLikes is currently in private beta. With MyLikes, you can easily create and share your likes and get recommendations for almost anything including restaurants, movies, sports, video games, books, music, products.

Right now, we need your help in creating likes on this site. You won't have many recommendations currently, because our algorithm is based on the likes that are in the system. Since our site is very new, we are still seeding our database with likes.

A couple of things about MyLikes:

• Our recommendation system looks at the items, people and topics you like. Give it a try by connecting with your Facebook friends who may already be using MyLikes or by liking topics that you are interested in.
• You can like any link on the web by simply cutting and pasting the link into the text box on top of the page.
