This is southern cooking. Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Fried Green Tomatoes, and sweet tea. The biscuits are some of the best I've ever had, and the soft shell crab is amazing when they have it. Service was great, and all of the staff were very accomodating.

A nice, semi-casual dining experience. Sit on the porch, and take in the horse drawn carriages as they pass by. Good food done well, not fancy, and nothing overboard. Comfortable food in a comfortable setting. I like it there.

Awesome food, great beer lineup, and super casual, with indoor/outdoor seating, a nice bar, and easily the best burger I've had in SC. Parking can be a little tough, but well worth it.

Fantastic food, and NOT overpriced. French comfort food like coq au vin and braised lamb shank, and just about everything rocks, from the corn chowder and fried green tomatoe appetizers to the crepes with berries and pluff mudd pie for dessert. The beer menu is a little strange, but they have two types of chimay, and two Allagash beers, Sierra Nevada, and some rotating special bottles.

This is a beautiful beer. It's not your typical Irish Red. It's more like an American hoppy ale that happens to be red in color, but it's delicious anyway, and beautiful to look at, from its rich, deep copper-red body to its rocky beige head. The ...

Super friendly greeters, outstanding service, and a not-too-shabby beer selection top off slightly upscale traditional American fare.

This is one of several "wet hop" beers that have come out in the past year. Typically, hops are dried before they're used. In a 'wet hop' beer, they're not dried. They're thrown in fresh off the vine, and it makes for a distinctly different ...

Some good British beers served on nitrogen. Boddington's is a nice break from some of the hop-heavy American styles that are popular right now, and goes very well with the fish & chips at English. Reasonably priced food, well prepared, served with a smile by friendly staff in a really welcoming space. Though not particularly British, the food is pretty good.

I was a scripter using shell, perl, php, or whatever else came up. I didn't much like scripting, and so assumed I wouldn't ever like "real" programming. Then I found Python, and now I want to write huge distributed, multi-threaded, three-headed monster apps that can step on buildings and scare people.

McSorley's is legendary. It's the longest continuously running pub in America. When you go there, you can have McSorley's Light (Light refers only to color here), McSorley's Dark, or coke. If you can get there mid-week in the afternoon, grab a ...

Two words: Lobster Bolognese. Seriously good food. Not hostile to walk-ins. Great service, and a very relaxing atmosphere, with a surprisingly good beer *and* wine list. Try the taster menus to get a sampling. I went with a party of four, we all got a taster menu, we were all stuffed, and every single thing I tried, from the veggie-bread soup to the sirloin was fantastic.

An awesome twist on Cajun food (try the alligator tail), a decent beer selection, and among the best live jazz you can find in New Jersey. There's live rock and even R&B sometimes as well. Check their calendar, subscribe to the newsletter to hear about big name acts that occasionally come through.

This is my favorite Belgian beer, of any style, of all time. I'm not a huge fan of most other Belgian styles, but this beer is just soooo good. A nice, fluffy white head, slightly cloudy light yellow color, and the flavors hint at a bit of a peppery ...

These guys are hysterical. I've only seen a couple of episodes of their HBO series, but I've been listening to their music for quite some time. You will not stop laughing. Just... so... funny...
