I visited this museum many years ago but I cannot forget looking at the huge canvass of Juan Luna's world renowned painting called "Spoliarium". It greets the visitors at the entrance of the Arts Division. The museum also houses many other artefacts of ecological, historical and cultural significance e.g. floras, faunas, sculptures, paintings, coins, potteries, literary works, etc. Mar 8

Madame Tussauds is a world-famous wax museum that features famous personalities. It has several branches worldwide but the original is located in Baker Street, London. I went there only recently. The queue was super long. Anyway, I was able to take ... Mar 8

lilmuchang - I visited the French version of Madame Tussauds in Paris, called Musée de Grévin. It's just not as fun as madame tussauds'

This is located in the famous Trafalgar Square in London. It houses thousands of original paintings from the likes of Leonardo, Raphael, Titian and many others. I was overwhelmed particularly when I saw for the first time Titian's very popular painting called "Bacchus and Ariadne". Prior to that experience, I often saw the said painting only in encyclopedias. Mar 8

alfiesgirl - The National Gallery is a must when visiting London.
tremendous - Everyone has their own interpretation to someone else's art, and that's what makes it wonderful!

This is one of the top attractions in Leeds, UK. As the name indicates, it is devoted to keeping thousands of historical weapons and armouries. The best attractions are the armoured elephant, armoured horses, knights, and many others. They also have scheduled shows that include jousting, sword fighting, etc. Mar 8

This is one of the biggest museums I have visited. Located in London, the building itself is already an architectural marvel to look at. There are milions of specimens inside from insects, plants, animals, etc. There are also interactive sections where videos of in-house scientists explain the process of collecting specimens etc. But the most impressive collections I should say are those of the dinosaurs' bones, which reminds me of Ben Stiller's movie Night at the Museum. alfiesgirl - I could take my holiday in the natural history museum and have a whale of a time.
tremendous - There's nothing like learning from a place that truly captures history.

I was in the Netherlands in 2002, so I did not pass up the chance of visiting this museum in Amsterdam. As the name implies, it houses the majority of Vincent Van Gogh's famous paintings from sunflowers to landscapes, portraits etc. Mar 8

tremendous - Many of the great artists were misunderstood. I'm glad there's a place where we can see Vab Gogh's work.

This is located in Bath, Somerset, England. I was here a year ago. It houses an ancient hot spring where the Romans bathe (now the water is greenish due to moldy growths) along with other interesting artefacts (e.g. ancient coins used as offerings to the goddess Minerva and many others). Mar 8

Back in the Philippines, this is what I use when preparing sauce for spaghetti. There are many variants but I often use their "Filipino style" spaghetti sauce, which is sweet unlike the usual Italian spaghetti sauce (which they also sell). Mar 8

This is made from chilli pepper. I once used it when I prepared chicken barbecue as I wanted to immitate the taste of Nando's famous chicken recipe. Mar 8

This is a very popular sauce here in the UK. It is often used for barbecue, salad, and other dishes. Mar 8

It's called Lady's Choice but it's definitely for everyone. This is my favorite sandwich spread when I was a kid. Now, I often use it as a dressing for preparing potato or macaroni salad. Mar 8

My brother owns one of these. I used to play on it too. It really sounds good. It also has a fine workmaship and simple but classic design. It's quite expensive though. Mar 8

tremendous - Letting a child learn to play ANY instrument can be very "instrumental" to their growth!

This is a thick brown sauce made from vinegar, liver, herbs and other spices. It is a popular sauce for roasted pig back in the Philippines. But it is also good for dipping in fried chicken, fish or other meat. Nov 2

I'm glad to learn Walmart sells this fish sauce. It's very popular in the Philippines (even though it is smelly). It's a fish sauce but I often use it when sauteing chicken in ginger and garlic (in cooking chicken broth). When I was a kid, I remember using it as a dip for Indian mango. Nov 2

I use this for spicing up my favorite dishes. It's very good for grilled tuna belly and even in soup-based dishes. Nov 2

Nestle is a leading multinational corporation in the world. It is also very popular back in the Philippines. Their products are mainly milk-based. My fave products include Nestle All Purpose Cream, Milo Chocolate Drink, and Nestle Ice Cream. Jan 23

tremendous - Nothing like good chocolate to ground yourself!

This is the number one brand of catsup in the Philippines. The thing is, it is made from banana, which makes it unique. It is also cheaper compared to tomato catsup. Nov 2

I didn't know this is also available in amazon! Anyway, it is the number one vinegar brand in the Philippines. It's naturally made from sugar cane. Nov 2

This is the most popular soy sauce brand in the Philippines (or probably even in other parts of Asia). I usually mix it with lemon juice or vinegar when dipping in fish or chicken. Nov 2

I seldom buy mayonnaise because of its fat content but when I do, I often go for a Hellmann brand. I prefer their "light" mayonnaise or those with garlic flavor. Nov 2
