spider - I haven't read the book, but I watched the movie, so my comments are based on it. I mainly came out thinking that his mission was ultimately suicidal, and therefore seemed pointless.

spider - Good book. However, a lot of the refactoring techniques come intuitively after years of experience, so sometimes it feels contrived to follow formal "steps". Still useful as a general reference, though.
