I always fly Southwest between home in Los Angeles and school in Philadelphia. They have the nicest flight attendants, who actually smile and occasionally even sing songs and crack jokes over the plane PA system. Plus, Southwest is one of the only airlines that continues to give out free (and unlimited) drinks and snacks. You can't really go wrong.
from ajb johnmc - Quick and easy flights all over the world. They also give you peanuts (sometimes honey roasted - yum).
@kyler free mascara!? Personal TV's, check. Cable, check. Unlimited snacks, check. Unlimited soda, water or juice, check. Nice staff, check. Discounted tickets, check. Brought a baby for her first flight and they were cool, check. Fly again, check.
from robyn - liked from kyler's entry rickw - Amazing airline. Love the Personal TVs. Also the food rocks. Esp. like the biscottis and cookies. Staff is pretty friendly as well.
leannem - Am a huge fan of JetBlue, SouthWest and Virgin America. I try not to fly in any other airline
remybass - A great cheap alternative airline... Love the tvs they have on every leather seat.
Over the years I have come to hate flying.. Sometimes I don't even feel like going on a vacation if it involves a long flight. Virgin America is the only airline that stands out from the rest. Each of the seats has an entertainment system with movies, music, TV etc. The crew is really friendly, they have decent food selections and reasonable rates. Overall, it would be great if they had hot food choices as well. Too bad, they fly only certain routes.
from bindu johnmc - I have heard so many good things about Virgin America. I can't wait to fly them.
aimyou - Virgin America makes flying fun again. With their upcoming onboard wi-fi, you won't have to leave your life on the ground. The inflight entertainment is strong and they are responsible for my addiction to the game Anagramarama, available on their IFE.
jerryd - The only negative is that they don't have the same frequent flyer program for Virgin America and Virgin Atlantic.
bjtitus - Never flown with them but I'm looking forward to it.
mylifeisrandom - It's rare I get to fly Virgin, as they do not fly to many of the cities I need to go to for work... But, I did manage to snag a Virgin flight to Europe... and it was wonderful! Virgin has ruined flying for me on normal American domestic carriers!
when you don't have the budget for business class, premium economy (what a name!), takes some of the pain out of a long trans Atlantic flight.

I flew Horizon from Seattle to Pasco this weekend. They really are a neat little airline. The people who work there have a feisty attitude which I like.

THE place to search for published airfares. amazingly flexible, searches for outbound and return on different airlines, airports, etc with all variables expressed on the first search screen. btw, this is the backend engine for orbitz.com, and many other airline sites, but going directly to this site results in less aggressive tree pruning, and thus cheaper fares in many boundary cases.
not to mention the best UI for presenting results.
from ramana bindu - So quick question... I normally use Expedia/Kayak. Since this is the back-end engine for those types of sites. Will it matter whether I use this or any of those sites. Off course I get the fact that UX on ITA is better.
ramana - less aggressive pruning means: it may find much cheaper r/t fare outbound on ua return on aa that other sites would have not bothered to search for. same goes for multi stop itinerary. i'd take extra stops to save a buck or 2, or for the miles, or bcos i'm a sadist. ymmv :)
jessiev - seems cool!
mar - Make sure you go into help and dig into the route language. It's the best for searching specific routes, airlines, fare classes, etc.
It will be my very first time to experience Singapore airlines. So far, what I can say to this airline is that they offer the cheapest ticket online. I will still observe their service once I traveled back to my country, anyway, I'm already booked at them@uwon

My Favourite business Icon, V.Mallya is just an awesome person. His airline, Kingfisher Airline is the best in it's level. The price is not resonable and the food and service is beyond boundaries. You shall get a VIP treatment in a Kingfisher flight.

Flew around the world with British Airways, very nice.

from tioga aaa - They're very friendly... when I went to the UK, they gave me a free beer and hella peanuts.
plasticpilot - Ok, the T5 mess at Heathrow is now over...
This is a nice airline. Their customer service is good although you find it a little hassle that sometimes they say "yes" when they actually mean "i'm not sure" but they always smile so i guess I could forgive them. lol They have good Korean foods. I think that "ba bim bab" or something like that is an interesting dish to order on the plane cause you need to figure out how to eat it and it's a good way to kill the time.

Declared as the Best Airline of the year 2009 by Skytrax for its best service and customer satisfaction. It is based at Hongkong and have all together 114 destinations in 36 countries worldwide.
from substance lilmuchang - Better than any airline in the world
judie - I think, would be comfortable flying with this airline

I loved flying on this from Bangalore to Dubai. Excellent service. They even gave us a free upgrade to Business class!

The organge, european low-cost airline. I used them so many times, and the ticket was less expensive that what I paid to leave my car in airport's car park.

Not a bad airline if one must fly Economy in the South Pacific. Friendly service and real meal service.

I probably fly SWA 24-30 times/year. Their schedules are the most convenient for me. However, I was less than thrilled with a 2 hour outage/limited service period today on their web site.
