I know there's been a national health craze over the last few years, and the fact that I have high cholesterol is a serious bummer. But I still love McDonalds! If I feel like my cholesterol or fat content are dipping too low, I head over to the drive thru and get a double quarter pounder w/cheese and that pumps it back up to an acceptable level!

How can you not love Chili's? My husband worked there as a cook when we were students and dating. He got all his meals half-off and I love the blooming onion and fajitas. We also always got the ever refilling strawberry lemonades! from katrina Keepin' it real, and really, really good. They make real burgers, made from real beef. You can watch them do it. Sonic is the place I'd see in movies where waiters/waitresses would ride out on rollerskates with a customer's meal. I always thought that was sooo cool! Then, I discovered it was a place that still existed! The limeades are yummy, and the food is tasty and very good value. Slanted Door is this very cool restaurant in San Francisco. My sister and brother in law take me there every time I visit them. Has a nice view of the ocean and the bay bridge. The food is exotic and not too heavy. The crowd is interesting and you can even spend time walking around before/after lunch and can pick up some books, ice cream, flowers, etc from near by shops. The best restaurant in California is Denny's. If you are in love with steak then this is your place. Denny's serves the best T-bone steak in California.
