From Wiki- The Fountainhead is a 1943 novel by Ayn Rand. It was Rand's first major literary success and its royalties and movie rights brought her fame and financial security. The book's title is a reference to Rand's statement that "man's ego is ... from livia

lymanreed - I read this one before Atlas Shrugged - it really turned me on to Rand's philosophy.
indigo92 - although some people discount Ayn Rand's philosophical ideas as junk, you can't help but love this beloved story about an architect with ideals! This book helped me develop my interest in architecture and now i will probably go to become one!
tulipstrader - one of ayn rand's best books
substance - Ya! I really like this book by Ayn Rand. I wonder what are his other works? Because other than this, I don't know most of his works.

The extreme detail that was put into these buildings by the Greeks and Romans is unbelievable for what technology that had at the time. Not to mention the stories that are told through the reliefs. from jdubsie - liked from goodeyesniper's entry

Architecture is something that I find so beautiful. I once did a trip across Illinois to view the different architectural aspects that changed from town to town and city to city. A great experience. I wouldn't mind doing that across the country. This magazine, Trendir has excellent art, design, architecture and images. It's one of those magazines I don't want to put down. from adriana

All of Rome is impressive, but the Pantheon and the Coliseum to me were the most amazing. I spent an entire afternoon admiring it from inside and out and am awed at how they could have built it over 2000 years ago and it survives so magnificently today! the Pantheon's dome remains the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome! from sittonbull

Saw these in a travel magazine, small but cool. I'd love to visit. from perkins

Yes, OK, there's some decent art in there(!) but most of all I love the Louvre for the beauty of the buildings. I spent some years living in Paris, including working briefly in the mall under the pyramid and completely fell in love with the pyramids. There was nothing quite like coming to work and seeing the morning light on the stone of the old buildings and the sympathetic glint of the new. Stunning. from melanie_d
