Guess what, it's actually good for the heart.
Wikipedia states the following: "The antioxidant compounds in Guinness, similar to those found in certain fruits and vegetables, are responsible for health benefits because they slow down the deposit of harmful cholesterol on the artery walls."
Black beer isn't usually my favorite, but when I feel like having one, it's either Guinness or Murphy's.
from walidch jakeg - Probably my favorite beer.

It seems that the hipster scener in sactown drinks nothing but Stella. It's popular for all the right reasons. A fluffy beer with a soft, sweet body.

Beach, sun, heat, and corona beer = I'm happy.
Almaza is my favorite, but there's something different about a corona at the sea.

Just had this beer... One of my favorite beers. It has become increasingly popular over the last decade and is available in quite a few stores and restaurants in San Francisco/New York. Even if you don't like beer, there is a good chance you will like this one
from bindu bindu - Sipping some right now... Did I tell you I really like this beer :)
bindu - Life can be so deliciously decadent... Chimay, pizza, good wine and Big Love

aaa - Amazing stuff!
phaithful - mmmmm Chimay Red
I had heard about this beer for a long time before I started to drink it, but when I finally did I was pleasantly surprised. Too me it is a very interesting taste. Can be found pretty easily but normally bottled.

There is almost nothing bad to say about this beer. It is only as bitter as the least bitter beers and doesn’t taste like a lager, but more like a light lager. It is perfect for intimate group settings or with a meal. While it is certainly not the best lager, it holds its own for a variety of reasons including relative price and the atmosphere that it presents.

This is a pretty good beer that is easily available. Definitely something that I would buy it if is available at the corner store. Of course you can tell I can like Belgium style ale.

"In 1890 five Tyneside breweries came together and after the First World War started trading under the blue five point star. Newcastle Brown Ale was launched in 1927 after Jim Porter had spent three years developing this special brew. Almost immediately after its release, Newcastle Brown Ale won the gold medals at the International Brewers' Exhibition in London in 1928."

This is one of my favorite all time beers. Smooth, strong and seductive. This is a sipper. Best shared so you can split the bottle while it is still cold. It is great in the bottle but out of the world on tap.

Sierra Nevada is one of the highest quality beers you will find mass produced in the United States. The Pale Ale in particular is especially good.

For a while, I didn't like it because it just seemed too hyped up and commercialized. But after trying it a few years back, I'm a total believer. Their Irish Red even beat out Killians Irish Red for me (which is still good). I also love their Summer Ale.

Very smooth. Its a strange custom for me to read each and every word on the bottle before finishing of the drink.

Texas in the last two decades has developed, or rather redeveloped, a local brew tradition. Shiner's was the first and still among the best.
from miloux bobf - If you like this, you should try Tito's Vodka!
LOVE!!
Got my first taste when I was visiting my brother who, at the time, lived in Germany. Hard to find in the states but no problem in Canada.

i'm not usually a light beer drinker, but i first found an appreciation for this, the original pilsner, while traveling to Prague. it has a clean, crisp taste - perfect for relaxing in one of the many cafes along the cobblestone streets of Prague. and beer there is cheaper than bottled water!

Sure it is named after the hallucinations that you might undergo after during severe alcohol withdrawal, but if you keep drinking this fine Belgian brew, you never will face that fate yourself.
