I have been reading eBooks for years on Palm devices, but the Kindle introduces a completely self-reliant device with built-in wireless connection (that comes free with the cost of the item). Being able to make notes and highlight passages of texts is important to me when reading books for research, and immediate accessibility to novels fulfills my love for reading fiction. I have a first-gen device, so can only imagine how the enhancements improve this already solid device. from cosmosis
