because my sons have been playing this card game for MANY years and taught my 8 yr old daughter. Instead of sitting in front of a TV, they create strategies with this card game and draw pictures of the characters. When I first learned about Pokemon 9 yrs ago I was an instant hater. Now I realize the strategy involved and it's sooo much better than mindless video games.
from thedailyblonde thedailyblonde - my 3 youngest love it and have been playing for a long time. They devise strategies, make up stories, etc etc. We go to a league once a month and they trade, talk, enjoy lunch together. Love it in the middle of the winter when they can't go outside.
gypsylibrarian - I got hooked because my daughter plays the game. I mostly collect the cards. I like some of the episodes too.
Fun my entire family, this game is a honest classic and provides hours of fun. Uno is a favorite of mine, and many of my friends. Who needs poker?
from hunt - liked from heyitsrachel's entry mr_9ta5_spm - this game can start fights!!!
We used to have a monthly game night with friends and, whenever a bigger group showed up than can really play a board game - or if too much drinking came before we sat down to play - this was always the stand-by. It's casual, open-ended, and really fun.

Ops! What can I say. Everybody have played this game. I like to play it on my Laptop. Its a great way to pass the time. Even if I have lots of other card games and video games, I always go back to playing solitaire once in a while. This is a card game and can be played both on the PC and of course in the usual style.
from substance poonam - omg, i donot know how many hours i have killed playing this and spider solitaire:)
sonika - This is what I end up playing whenever I want to kill time. It can be quite addicting actually.
tioga - I have wasted sooooo much timeon this game. I must keep going until I win.
Another is Spider Solitaire (on Windows XP)
sn9500 - My Dad is addicted to this, even Mum will waste hours on the computer playing this. I don't mind the occasional game myself.
I always end up losing in this game but have so much doing it! The game is simple & addictive, you can play with a big group of people for hours!

A card game which starts simple but then as you play you start to change the rules of the game as you play. A rare game that is both fun and for many a mind expanding metaphor & an entirely new game experience - with lessons for business & life (i.e. the rules can and will change)

I babysat for my grandson this week because he wasn't feeling well. It's difficult for a four year old to stay quiet and rest, so we needed a great game to play. He loves the new Go Fish game I bought him because it's easy to learn, the game goes quickly and he always wins! Fun card game for family game night.

One way to help your child increase his speed and accuracy when solving integer problems is by playing “Face-Off." In five minutes, you and your child can make the game together and begin an enjoyable “study session”.

My grandma taught me to play this card game and she was a real force to beat. It's a game of strategy and making red and black "books" along the way. When my son was young, grandma also taught him the game and then I couldn't beat either of them. It's an old fashioned game, but can be enjoyed by the whole family.
from surfette gregl - @technicalchicklet I love card games as well but have never played this one. I am going to check it out
I learned how to play this at a summer program I attended a few years ago. It's really addicting, especially once you learn the rules and start playing it with people who don't!

We had the kids version, which was great. For Christmas my daugther got Junior. It's a great game for kids to practice their vocabulary and it's hilarious...especially when we throw in a card off the pile and pretend our little guy is playing, 1/2 the time his card is better than ours!
