Abbey Road was the eleventh official album released by The Beatles. Although its release preceded that of Let It Be, it was the last to be recorded, and is therefore widely considered as the band's swan song. It was released on September 26, 1969 in the UK and October 1, 1969 in the US. It was produced and orchestrated by George Martin for Apple Records. Geoff Emerick was the engineer and Tony Banks tape operator. It is considered one of the Beatles' most tightly constructed and praised albums. from jpupier

Led Zep is definitely one of the most successful and legendary rock bands ever. I remember listening to Robert Plant's haunting interpretation of "Stairway to Heaven" in the 1970s. The band's lead guitarist, Jim Page, is also regarded as one of the greatest of all time. from quick24

The Wall is a 1979 rock opera and iconic concept album by Pink Floyd. Hailed by critics and fans as one of Pink Floyd's best albums (along with Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Piper at the Gates of Dawn), the album is known as a rock and roll classic, and its morbid, depressing anthems have inspired many contemporary rock musicians. Ultimately, this was the last studio Pink Floyd album to feature Richard Wright until his return in 1987. from jpupier

macro1970 - A classic. The album that changed studio recording forever.
katestdenis - I'm fixin' a hole where the rain gets in
cyclingroo - One of the two best albums ever released. This album offers a complete vision. While many songs can stand only, the entire collection foms a phenomenal and cohesive experience.

Who can forget a classic band such as Led Zeppelin!? This combines some of the best musicians to ever live, e.g. Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, etc. One listen to one of their hits, such as Stairway to Heaven, puts you in a great mood, with this half acoustic-half rock song! That shows their diversity... What other band does rock, acoustic, metal, and folk all in one album? They will live forever, regardless if they're not together, from btroisi13

Rubber Soul is the sixth album by English rock band The Beatles, first released in December 1965. It was recorded in just over four weeks to make the Christmas market, and was a major achievement, with reviewers taking note of The Beatles' developing musical vision. Like most Beatles albums, the record was produced by George Martin and achieved widespread commercial success. from jpupier

With front man, Steven Tyler, they are fixtures in rock music. They have so many songs that will rock on forever, but my very favorites are "Walk This Way" and "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing". You can't listen to an Aerosmith song and not get up and dance. from surfette
