Starbucks is not just coffee, it is an experience. I never have and never intend on going through a drive-thru at Starbucks. It's the whole experience of walking into "my" store, standing in line smelling the fresh brewed espresso, hearing the ...

I think I've been here about five times in the last month at varying times in the day. Rivermark itself is a nightmare to park in between the hours of 12 and 1 of any workday lunch so keep that in… more

Okay, so in the world of coffee, there is the fast food of coffee that you drink because there are no other options (Starbucks, gas station swill, ....), the standard drinkable cup you get at Peets, and then there is artisanal indescribably delicious coffee from places like Blue Bottle. This coffee was poured straight from heaven into your cup. (sorry) It is the perfect temperature, it has a silky mouth feel, and the taste is complex and rich.

Not really a restaurant, but a place on the 'must do' list for New Orleans, Superb coffee, and heaps of food. fantastic atmosphere in the indoor/outdoor setting close to the Mississippi River. If you like saxaphone music, you will hear it here.
from tioga kadepp - Beignets and cafe au lait!
kitchenhacker - I actually don't like chicory coffee, but the beignets are awesome. Don't go there wearing black.
I'm the long reigning FourSquare Mayor for Ritual - which given the density of geeks who love coffee in this town should show my love for Ritual. One of my favorite cafes and among the best coffee in a highly competitive San Francisco coffee scene, coming from Chicago w/Intelligentsia I was thrilled to find Ritual.

I love their teas so much. The Green Tea and Lemon Iced Tea are my two absolute favorites. We buy them by the jug but have no learned how to brew it ourselves. Tastes just as great.

mysiraylon - this has a well blended ingredients that is so refreshing to the last drop.

I heard this rumor that in the mission there was this great new coffee place that was at the time only serving coffee from a kiosk down an alleyway, I looked for it, found it and kept coming back. Last year they finally opened their full cafe and now it is one of the best cups of coffee in San Francisco

America needs more Tim Hortons. I used to work in Quebec and went to a Tim Hortons almost daily. Living in Wisconsin and not having a Tim Hortons within hundreds of miles is unconscionable. Fruit muffins, multigrain bagels and delicious donuts. Time to go to Quebec.
from bobw callista83 - Iced cappuchinos are awesome ANYTIME! Even in the dead of winter.

The only place I'll buy tea from! Best, freshest, tea I've had in my life--can't go back to dust in bags ever again!

Any coffee place that does not reek of burnt bean offerings upon entrance and whose drink sizes have logical names is good in my book.
Plus they will custom brew any tea they have for you over ice.… more

I'm struggling with some caffeine addiction, but I wouldn't mind replacing my blood with Intelligentsia's java. My mornings start with their beans and my coffee press.
from wordsmythe brittany - Intelligentsia: I love you. I loved you almost every day when I was in Chicago. I love you so much you being there kind of makes Los Angeles seem livable.
OMG! The best coffee maker you will ever buy! I love my coffee and this is the best money you will ever spend to get the best cup of coffee ever! Mine is a B70.
from vmills johnsullivan - It's awesome
Just like the ads say, America is running on Dunkin Donuts Coffee. It has always been the best coffee, that I've ever tasted. Their machine puts just the right amount of cream and sugar into my cup. It's uncanning how they a machine can do that, reminds me of the Starship Enterprise machine ~ LoL!

ellebradcliff - Love the new White Chocolate Latte!
If everyday coffee tends to leave you awake but with an upset tummy, try Folgers Simply Smooth. This delicate coffee won't give you a belly ache, has the rich java flavor you want and makes morning coffee a pleasurable experience again.

Source of some of the best baristas across the nation. Despite the sheer number of places to go in Seattle, I always stop at Vivace for an espresso.

I am dreaming of hot chocolate. This place has really good stuff. I only have to drive 40 miles to get a cup :(... BTW the spicy mayan hot chocolate is pretty good
from bindu rycaut - the photo is for the location in downtown Palo Alto. I didn't know about their other location - but indeed great cafe in Palo Alto
bindu - Yes, I meant to like the one in Palo Alto... Umm I guess ended up liking the wrong one by mistake
angie - Wow! I had no idea there was one at Stanford! I love the downtown PA one when it's not insanely crowded. I'll have to check the Stanford one out! Then I hope someday to visit the one in Caracas!
I've had the most INTENSE craving for one of these today.. Ah. They sound so good, but they just aren't as popular!
They're sweet and a little spicy with a nice texture that lets you have your soft cream filling with a good cookie you can sink your teeth into..
Sounds awful, but they go really well with a hot cut of tea. <3
