Hilarious and inspired. I have loved Gary Larson since I was a callow youth. He also hooked me on the words 'Dang!' and 'Fud'.

Oh, man, this is funny. And great social commentary. I love the sequence where Shaun just continues to wander on through his life completely oblivious to the zombie outbreak once it's begun.
from vizstorm y060n - Come on, who doesn't love the characters Simon Pegg play? One of his first hits, and a great one at that.
doc_ofthe_dead - BOMB ASS MOVIE
I love this show! I watch it every night on the Cartoon Network! Peter is too dumb for words. The baby (Stewie) is evil. And um, why does Meg look like a dude? LOL! Love it!

Sin city the comic book is one of the finest art and story comics around, the art is very stylistic and the dialogue that Frank Miller writes may be a little a drift but it works in his comic book world!
from waynet cbellevie - Miller is great!
bindu - I have seen the movie... I should read the book/comic
higgsboson - Frank Millers masterpiece. If you liked the movie you should get some the of the original comics.
Jon Stewart is a great writer, hires great writers, and offers a different perspective on a lot of news items you might not hear elsewhere.

Max Brooks has put together a fantastic "resource" for all the potential zombie hunters out there. The man has watched his zombie flicks, seen what works and what hasn't worked, and compiled it all into a wonderful volume ... more ...
from poobah poobah - I'd love to see your high school! Or... maybe not.
civin - This is exactly the kind of information you'll need onhand when the undead outbreak eventually happens ;)
jestergoblin - Be ready. They're coming.
thomasroten - Oh yes, the title says it all. Reminds me of my high school days.
jakeg - A great book for zombie fans and for those who want to survive the inevitable zombie apocalypse. Most of the time, people are both.
A funny and completely odd story. Great read, you won't be able to put it down.
from ahanneken - liked from ema's entry edeckers - I always knew there was something fundamentally wrong with the universe.
This is a great novel. I read it usually once a year, and the characters and the story still hold their spell over me.

Ctrl Alt Del (CAD) is a gaming-related webcomic and animated series written by Tim Buckley. The name of the comic refers to the Windows command Control-Alt-Delete. It is currently updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The comic's focus has gradually shifted away from single strip gags towards longer story arcs and greater continuity. Buckley makes a living from Ctrl Alt Del, placing him in a small group of web comic artists devoted to their comics full-time.

Oh gosh, I love this website. Although I have to admit that it shows some items that I can feel the arteries clogging just from looking at them. It's like watching a train wreck of food. You can't turn away.

This book is not so much a sci-fi or horror book, but rather a collection of how various people and types of people might react to a horrific event. It's a great study of psychology and the human condition. The things that will horrify you are not the zombies... it's what people will do to other people to avoid the zombies. Very well written.
from poobah jakeg - The follow up to The Zombie Survival Guide, this book shows how the world would be like after a zombie apocalypse. An excellent read.
ubernoobwp - I have the book. Awesome though i lost it a few weeks back. ZOMBIE FTW. also helps in survival =D

This book is something I can hold dear. The memories I shared as young child of reading Calvin and Hobbes came back to me as I read some of these strips.

I've read and listened to the book, and was very sad to know that this was Adams' last book, since the ending was a little final. Unfortunately, he died before he could write the sixth book, although I have heard that someone is trying to put together his notes and will write the sixth book on his behalf.
