igreulich - It's like Heroe's with better writing.

A very good mini-series about John Adams, one of the founding fathers and the 2nd president of the United States. Stellar star cast, great performances and good opening music. Inspired me to go find more about American History/Presidents. from bindu

tau_zero - Great miniseries, and that's from someone who usually hates history.
ss99 - Did they talk about Abigail Adams? Pretty amazing woman for her times. They lived in Quincy, MA.

bindu - Watching Episode 3 right now. Beginning to like this series quite a bit. An interesting journey through the history of India. Lots of focus on the south at the moment
app103 - This is a fantastic BBC series. I watched the whole thing on Veoh before it appeared on PBS. The history and culture is amazing. Even if you think you know everything there is to know about India, watch this and I guarantee you'll learn something new.

This movie with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle is amazing. Story of how pride of people and prejudice of society can separate and how generous deeds and sincere love can unite in spite of all. from nicta

I've never seen the actual play, but I thought the hbo production of Angels in America was just brilliant. Plus what a great cast, that exhausted their talents to their limits. from madmojo
claytonhowl - what the miniseries lacked in theatricality, it made up for in casting. a remarkable play, as good as everyone says it is and then some, deserved a more substantial audience.
gypsylibrarian - I have read the play, but have never had the good fortune to see it performed. So for me, this was the next best thing.

I really like this show... but my DVR has not recorded a new episode in a really long time... I fear it may have gotten the ax! Boo! :( from sparkplug

Excellent anime mini-series available entirely (and legally) on the web. Explores the moral and philosophical implications of a society in which androids have achieved human likeness and possibly more... Visually stunning, using both traditional animation and CG. Good stoundtrack. Highly reccommend from tau_zero
famousuvee liked this entry

The show looks to be very promising, even though it is more catering to a general audience. Subversive aliens looming over the sky? Color me into that shit. from korealize
