It seems that no matter what channel you tune into, there is something being said about the end of days. I wonder if the Mayans had any idea how their calendar would affect the generations to come after them.If it isn't asteroids crashing into the planet, it is the Anti-Christ coming that will end the world as we know it. Or so they say. Who are THEY?I believe that our planet is in danger, but only because of human carelessness, not because a bunch of long dead people say it will be so.Why worry anyway? If the world is going to come to an end, there isn't much that you or I can do about it. Who can stop asteroids, or solar flares? Who can hold back a hurricane, or volcano? Can you? I know I can't.We have been given one life to live; why waste it worrying about what may or may not happen, especially if there is nothing that can be done to change it?I've heard kids talk about how the world is ending, so there is no reason for them to try to build a life. How ridiculous is that? Have we discouraged our children about living? I'd say so.There is no way of knowing for sure if the world will end in 2012, so why worry about it. Live everyday as if it is your last, because it could be; not because the world is supposed to end in 2012, but because you could get hit by a bus tomorrow.
